Parenting Tips for Single Mothers (Ezine Ready)

Text Version: Parenting Tips for Single Mothers Author: Ryan Frank Raising a child with a partner is a difficult enough task; raising a child when you’re a single mom is especially hard. It involves taking on incredibly difficult challenges and decision all on your own. It’s good to remember that, as a single mom, it is okay to ask for help. No one expects you to handle burden of raising a child completely on your own. Even couples need help when raising a child. Here are a few tips that might help you navigate through the difficult task of raising a child. Work and parenting When your child is sick or needs special attention, you are allowed, by law, to leave work early or take a few daysoff withoutbeing penalized by your employer. So don’t be afraid to talk to your boss if you need time off to take care of your child. Being a good soccer mom Whether your child plays soccer or not, a big part of being a parent is driving your kid to sporting events and other activities. When you’re working full time, however, it can be difficult to always make time for such activities. A good way to solve the problem is to make friends with other kids’ parents and exchange rides. Whenever you can’t make it to a game or event, the other parents can give your kid a lift and vice-versa. This is also a good way to build a strong, caring community for your child to grow up in. Discipline issues Discipline issues are toughest on single moms, because you don’t have a partner there to back you up when you’re trying to get through to your child. If there’s a discipline issue that you’re finding hard to deal with, ask for help from a friend or a family member.

Selecting a good cake for birthday party

Selecting a good cake for birthday partyAuthor: Madhavi PororiWith kids, it may be some popular character or some person they admire, or a favorite animal, pet or toy. Sometimes you can poke a little fun at the birthday person with a cake. Picking a smart birthday cake theme really means knowing something special about the person having the birthday. When you know something about their likes & dislikes, favorite sports or leisure activities or even some quirk they have, it can be worked in to a cake theme.
