Civil Aviation Secretary M Nambiar briefed top PMO officials on the Air India crisis, a meeting in which Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrashekhar was also present. In a bid to ease the impact of the crisis on the stranded passengers, the ministry has requested that airlines abstain from overcharging passengers. The Ministry has also asked them to accommodate passengers from the cancelled Air India flights. |
