Accidents to anybody on your premises where you have failed to provide sufficient safety measures can lead to major problems. Staff injured means you are losing valuable man hours possibly operating below the required rate. If a customer or client falls this could possibly lead to a break down in relationship and ultimately losing their custom.It is for these reasons and many more why companies must ensure that employees and visitors are able to work in a safe environment. Sometimes this is not as easy especially if the weather is bad or the building is undergoing renovation. If this is the case then you still need to provide suitable levels of security including signs pointing out where potential problems can occur or to provide the necessary safety equipment.There are certain signs that all business must have and these include fire exits signs and no smoking signs that should be in the premises somewhere. Building sites and workplaces that involve the handling of chemicals need to have a wider range of signs including ‘attention’ signs and ‘wear protective clothing’ signs. Other signs that may be required are first aid instruction signs. These give all people in that building information on who to contact should they require first aid, contact details should appear of any fully qualified first aiders in the building.
