Raising a child with a partner is a difficult enough task; raising a child when you’re a single mom is especially hard. No one expects you to handle burden of raising a child completely on your own. Even couples need help when raising a child. Here are a few tips that might help you navigate through the difficult task of raising a child. Work and parenting When your child is sick or needs special attention, you are allowed, by law, to leave work early or take a few days off without being penalized by your employer. So don’t be afraid to talk to your boss if you need time off to take care of your child. Being a good soccer mom Whether your child plays soccer or not, a big part of being a parent is driving your kid to sporting events and other activities. When you’re working full time, however, it can be difficult to always make time for such activities.
A good way to solve the problem is to make friends with other kids’ parents and exchange rides. Whenever you can’t make it to a game or event, the other parents can give your kid a lift and vice-versa. This is also a good way to build a strong, caring community for your child to grow up in.
